How do I set up the office landline with Swiftlane?

There are two options. You can leverage the front desk option to route calls to your office landline. Or you can setup a Intercom Directory for the Office line.

Front Desk Option:

First step setup the Office number as a User in the Swiftlane system. Go to Users > click " Add User". You can name it Leasing Office or Office Office since you will need to fill out First & Last Name. Be sure to enter the landline number and switch the "Route Intercom Calls" to "Regular Phone Call"

Set the Access Group to "Admins" to allow access.

On the Intercom, Uncheck the box "Create Intercom Directory Entry for User".

Then Click "Submit". Don't worry about the invite as the account doesn't have to be activated for Intercom calls to come through.

Second Step, you will need to make sure Front Desk option is enabled. Go to Sites & Access Points > click "Edit" button by the Access Point in which the SwiftReader is tied to > scroll till you see "SwiftReader Settings" > be sure "Front Desk Intercom" is enabled.

OPTION: if you would like the Label at the intercom to not say "Front Desk" you can change it to say "Leasing Office" or whatever suits your needs by scrolling down to "Intercom Label Settings" (typically after the SwiftReader settings") > Then edit the "Front desk button label" to whatever you would like to display > click "Save" once you are good with your entry.

Once you have created your office landline as a User and enabled the Front Desk option, now you must setup the Front Desk. Go to Intercom Settings > click "Front Desk Intercom" > click "Edit" button by your site.

Enter your User name you setup for the office landline. Select them and then click "Add User" button.

Once added, anytime anyone hits the "Front Desk" or the label name you entered, Swiftlane will call the landline (240-709-1512) and when you want to let the visitor in you can press 9 to unlock the door.

Intercom Directory option:

Go to Intercom Settings > click on "+Add Entry"

Fill in the details and then click "Create". This entry will appear on the Intercom Directory.

NOTE: the landline must be a direct line with no options as Swiftlane will not be able to press options.
