This article provides guidance on troubleshooting a common issue encountered with Swiftlane keycard and keyfob access systems. When you present a card or fob to the reader, you may hear a beep but find that the door does not unlock and there is no activity recorded in the Swiftlane activity feed on admin.swiftlane.com. This problem can also occur with SD ID card readers using mobile credentials over Bluetooth or NFC, where the reader beeps but fails to show activity on the dashboard or release the door.

No Activity Feed Entry

If no new activity appears in the Swiftlane activity feed, it likely means the Swiftlane Door Controller Unit has not registered the card number. This could be due to the door controller being unpowered or disconnected from the internet. Another possibility is an issue with the wiring between the card reader and the door controller, which prevents the controller from correctly receiving card data on the access control panel.

Access Denied Entry

If the activity feed on admin.swiftlane.com shows a new log marked as "access denied," it suggests the card number used is either not assigned to any user or assigned to a user who lacks access permission for the specified door. To resolve this, ensure the user is added to a valid access group with the necessary permissions for that door.

This guide aims to clarify steps for diagnosing and fixing access issues in Swiftlane keycard access systems, ensuring smooth operation and secure entry management.
