Here are the precautions to take before installing the STid readers. Provided by STid manufacturer.

1. The supply voltage at the reader's connector should be between +7 Vdc and +28 Vdc.

2. As far as possible, keep the reader away from a computer or power source cables. They can generate electrical interference, depending on their radiation level and the proximity of the reader.

3. Recommended distance between two readers: parallel plane: 15.8in - same plane: 15.8 in - perpendicular plane: 11.8 in.

4. Recommended distance between two Blue readers: 2 meters either plane.

5. Readers installed on metal surfaces may reduce performance. Not recommended.

6. Use a ferrite (two-way) for the cable (power supply and data)

7. By design, the reader can be installed indoor and outdoors

8. Disconnect the wires or the connector of the reader BEFORE power on and off.
