1st : If getting the Request Subscription error:

Step 1 Contact Swiftlane Support:

Contact: 888 884 4005

Step 2 Once it is enabled go to account > Go to Integrations section on left panel and find Brivo integration box. Click on ‘Configure’.

Step 3 Click "Add Connection", it’ll ask for below details:

  • Connection Name & Description: Free text, it can be anything to identify Swiftlane-Brivo Integration

  • Client Id: Copied from Brivo Portal

  • Client Secret: Copied from Brivo Portal

  • API Key: Customer admin to get this from Brivo Team manually

Note: You can directly go to step 6 if API Integration is already created.

Step 4 We need to capture above details from Brivo Portal to enable the integration from Swiftlane.

  • The customer admin who has admin rights on Brivo Portal should be able to do these steps:

  • Login to https://access.brivo.com/ and go to the Configuration → Applications Management section on the left panel. Select “Application Management” tab

Step 5 Create Application’ to represent Swiftlane-Brivo integration for the workspace with below details:

Step 6 Once the application is created, get below details against that application by clicking on API Integration:

  • Client ID: Click on info icon against the newly created application. It’ll open a modal with details as shown below. Copy Client ID from it

  • Client Secret: Copy Client Secret from same modal

  • API Key: Customer Admins need to get it from the Brivo team.

Step 7 Fill the details in swiftlane admin dashboard step 3, when the form is submitted, Admin will be redirected to Brivo’s login page.

Note: DO NOT USE EMAIL ID; Admin needs to use the User ID (copied from Brivo portal as shown in below section) and the Brivo password to login

Step 8 If the login is successful (Client ID, Client Secret, API Key and Username-Password are correctly provided), then admin will be redirected to a confirmation screen to confirm and authorize Swiftlane connection to access the resources in corresponding Brivo account.

Step 9 When Admin Submits, you’ll be redirected back to Swiftlane page and the connection is now added successfully

Admins need to configure various settings for Brivo Connection for the sync to work. This is done as per the admin/account requirement.

Step 10 Click on ‘Edit’ button against the connection to open the configurations screenThere are 4 sections on configurations page-

  • General

  • Connection Name and Description is the same as provided during creating the connection. These are editable and need to click “Save” button to save any changes made

  • “Turn on Auto Sync” toggle button: This is on by default. When it’s ON, Swiftlane will attempt sync with Brivo every 2 hours

  • “Auto Send Email Invites to New Users” toggle button: On by default. When it’s ON, Swiftlane will automatically send invites to newly added users from Brivo sync

  • “Delete Connection” button will delete the entire connection with Brivo

  • Brivo User Groups for Sync

  • The drop down will populate a list of User groups from Brivo’s account which is added in connection. Admins can choose which of the User Groups they want to sync with Swiftlane. This is to provide filters for customer admins to choose which set of users they want to replicate in Swiftlane. They can choose all user groups or select only few

  • Swiftlane will create the corresponding User Groups immediately when selected in dropdown and will have 0 users till the sync with Brivo happens

  • When manual or auto Sync runs, all the users from selected Brivo User groups will be added in Swiftlane and users will be automatically mapped to their corresponding User Groups

  • Swiftlane - Brivo Door Mapping

  • For each door where Swiftlane reader is installed, we need to create an Access Point (Door) within Swiftlane MANUALLY, same as we do for regular customers.

  • This also includes Sites which also need to be created MANUALLY within Swiftlane

  • We DO NOT need to have 1:1 mapping for Swiftlane site to Brivo technically, but it’s recommended to have 1:1 mapping for Brivo-Swiftlane Sites and Access Points (Doors) for ease of understanding

  • In this section, Admins can map a Swiftlane Door to one or more Brivo doors. The meaning is, when the Swiftlane door is unlocked with valid access, it’ll trigger Unlock request to Brivo for all the mapped Brivo Doors

  • Admins can add as many Swiftlane Doors and map them to corresponding Brivo doors

  • Intercom Settings

  • Swiftlane allows to automatically create intercom entries for users inside specific Brivo Groups

  • Admins need to select a Swiftlane Site from dropdown and select Swiftlane User Groups to create Front Desk Intercom recipients and Tenant Directory entries for that site

  • Admins can add one or more Swiftlane sites and configure to create Front Desk and Tenant Directories for those sites

2nd: Re- Auth error

  • This error occur when Admin is not using the correct User ID , even after filling the correct details in step 3

  • Follow the same process from step 6 to step 9 , if you face the below error:

Go to Edit and delete connection

Click on Delete Connection > type delete > Delete

Once Deleted do the process from step 6 to step 10

Tip: before deleting the connection you can take a screenshot for reference for Step 10.
