If you are able to hear the outside noise but the person is unable to hear you then please check your Settings to make sure Microphone is enabled.
iPhone Users:
Settings > scroll to the Swiftlane App > make sure the "Microphone" is enabled as shown below:
Android User:
Settings > App > Swiftlane App > Click on Microphone to enable > select "Allow only while using the app" so your microphone is setup.
Make sure the following settings are enabled for optimal Swiftlane usage:
