Swiftlane allows users to unlock doors using Bluetooth-based Mobile Credentials (STiD Mobile Credentials/Keycards), providing fast, secure, and contactless access. This guide explains what Mobile Keycards are, how they work, and how to set them up in your Swiftlane app.
What is a Mobile Keycard?
A Mobile Credential/Keycard is a digital STiD credential assigned to you by your building administrator or Property Manager. Once downloaded and activated in your Swiftlane app, it enables door unlocking through Bluetooth communication by simply bringing your phone near a compatible reader.
How to Download Your Mobile Keycard
To begin using Bluetooth unlock, you must download your Mobile Keycard in the Swiftlane app and have access to a compatible STiD reader.
Open the Swiftlane app
Tap on your Profile
Select Mobile Keycard
Tap Download
Note: The keycard status should display Ready for it to function properly.
Important Notes
Administrators must assign the Mobile Keycard to your profile before it can be downloaded.
Mobile Keycards are device-bound. If you log in on another device, the credential will transfer and stop working on the previous device.
Only Swiftlane STiD Keycard Readers support Bluetooth-based Mobile Credentials. This feature is not available with SwiftReader X intercom devices.
The Swiftlane app must have an active and valid Mobile Keycard in Ready status for Bluetooth unlocking to function properly.
Ensure that Bluetooth permissions are enabled for the Swiftlane app on your mobile device.
Why Can't I Unlock the Door?
If Mobile Credential access is not working, verify the following:
Have you downloaded the Mobile Keycard through the Swiftlane app?
Is the Mobile Keycard status showing as Ready?
Has your administrator assigned you a Mobile Keycard?
Are you using a compatible STiD Keycard Reader and not a SwiftReader X intercom?
Are you using the same device on which the Mobile Keycard was downloaded?
Is Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device?
Has the Swiftlane app been granted Bluetooth permissions?
For Administrators: How to Check Mobile Keycard Assignment
To verify user credentials:
Navigate to:
Admin Dashboard → Hardware → Mobile Keycards
Confirm that the Mobile Keycard is assigned to the user and that its status is Activated or Ready.
Still Not Working?
If you are still unable to use your Mobile Credential:
Reopen the Swiftlane app and verify the keycard status.
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
Log out and log back into the app to refresh the credential.
